Did someone write on my artwork? Is the paint coming off?

All of our artwork is reproduced from original creations by our amazingly talented artists. We choose artwork that comes in a vast array of styles to please any enthusiast. Some of the original artwork was created with multi-media (such as three-dimensional objects, paper cutouts, printed paper, pencil, ink, oil paints, acrylics, etc.) which gives our giclees an authentic look that makes people ask- is that an original? Some artwork is created to look “vintage” which may include some places that appear to be worn, or to have paint peeling away. We have many pieces that include unexpected details, all visible on our website and in our catalog. Please be sure to look closely before purchasing for these deliberate fine points that further distinguish our fine art from the rest.

What’s a mural banner vs. wall art?

Wall art is our specialty! Our signature “stretched art” comes ready to hang on your wall. After printing, the artist quality canvas is carefully stretched by hand over a solid wood frame. The sides of the canvas include a full-bleed gallery wrap, so no framing is required.

Mural banners are a more casual, cost effective way to spruce up your walls. Using the same high-quality canvas, once printed, instead of stretching the art over a wood frame we place grommets in the four corners creating a canvas poster that is easy to hang. The included color coordinated decorative covers should fit easily over the screw or nail you choose and make your mural banner hang beautifully. Please note that not all of our artwork is available in the mural banner style.

Do any of your products contain toxic or potentially harmful materials?

We take safety very seriously and conform to all guidelines required by the government. If you have any questions regarding a specific product, please contact us at info@oopsydaisy.com to request information on our certificates that illustrate our compliance with the CONSUMER PRODUCT SAFETY IMPROVEMENT ACT (CPSIA).

Do you offer UV protection?

We print using archival inks. These inks are produced with UV inhibitor formulas. We have put our products through detailed testing with an independent third party testing lab to ensure colorfastness. These tests resulted in a PASS demonstrating good performance characteristics. Because our inks are fade resistant, we do not feel additional UV protection is needed. With any painting, we don’t recommend placing the art in direct sunlight. Normal sun exposure has not been shown to cause considerable fading or staining for many years.

Can I get my artwork framed?

While not needed for our canvases, solid wood framing in a contemporary shadow box style is available.  Our substantial frame provides a polished, designer finish at a very nice price.  Each frame size is offered in either a warm white finish or deep pewter (which has a slight undertone of metallic in the brown/black color).  Your chosen art canvas will arrive installed in the frame you select, ready to hang from a wire hanger on back.  Unframed stretched canvases achieve a more casual, laid-back look, opt for framing your canvas if you want a more sophisticated interior.

Are there any places I shouldn’t hang my artwork?

Bathrooms – moist environments aren’t recommended. Your artwork should never be placed where it will come in direct contact with water.

Direct sunlight – we recommend you avoid hanging the piece in direct sunlight to keep it from fading.

Leaning – leaning a stretched piece may lead to warping. Our stretched canvases are meant to be hung straight against the wall and our loose canvas items (mural banners and growth charts) come with grommets for easy hanging.

What if my canvas seems loose?

We recommend lightly spritzing the back of the canvas with clean water then blowing the backside dry to tighten.

How do I clean my canvas?

Our canvases may be wiped clean with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth.

Why doesn’t my art ship to me immediately?

Since we don’t stock our products, your order is custom made – just for you!  This makes the standard lead time for most orders 7-10 business days to leave our production facilities. This also means that we are unable to cancel or change any order after 24 hours from when the order was placed. We ship standard UPS ground from San Diego, CA, so transit times will be 1-6 business days in the US.

What pieces are considered “Oversized”?

Our Oversize collection consists of stretched art sized 48×48, 44×36, 54×32, 60×45, and 72×36. Artwork with a side longer than 38″ shipping in a shadowbox frame can also be considered oversized. Oversized artwork ships with the best rate we can find, via UPS or LTL Freight to ensure that it arrives to your door in excellent condition. This means in addition to our regular shipping and handling charges, an additional shipping charge between $100-$125 will be applied per piece. Please call us if you’d like a shipping estimate in advance of placing your order.

Do you give price adjustments For ITEMS NOW on PROMOTION?

You can buy with confidence from Oopsy daisy, Fine Art For Kids. If an item you have purchased from Oopsy daisy, Fine Art For Kids goes on sale for a lower price within 14 days of your purchase, Oopsy daisy, Fine Art For Kids will either provide you with a code valid for an equivalent discount off your next full-priced order or refund the difference upon your request.

To claim a price adjustment, simply call our customer service department at 619.262.1967 and provide them with your order number, date of purchase and name. Please have the credit card you used for your purchase available. You will either be given the discount code or a refund for the difference of the original selling price and the current advertised/reduced price. Conditional “Online Only Special Offers” do not qualify for price protection adjustments.

What does ONLINE EXCLUSIVE mean?

Items tagged as Online Exclusive indicate that the only place to purchase this item is online or on the internet. That is, on one of our official company websites (oopsydaisy.com,wheatpaste.com,greenboxart.com). But, if ordering online is not your thing, don’t worry – these items can be found or ordered at any brick and mortar store that carries one of our brands.
